We are excited to announce the release of the first Net Zero SMEs Newsletter, introducing the project and its mission to empower innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe’s green transition.
The newsletter highlights how Net Zero SMEs supports companies developing clean technologies, renewable energy solutions, and sustainable manufacturing — helping them scale, strengthen competitiveness, and access international markets as Europe moves toward climate neutrality by 2050. It also presents the successful project launch meeting in Ioannina, Greece (17–18 June 2025), where partners aligned on shared goals, policy priorities, and collaboration strategies to accelerate SME innovation.
Looking ahead, the newsletter outlines upcoming activities, including mapping SME needs, regional stakeholder meetings, and workshops focused on boosting export capacity and digital transformation, ensuring that public support systems become more efficient and accessible for SMEs in the net-zero transition.
This first edition marks an important step in strengthening cooperation between regions, policymakers, and business support organisations to foster a more resilient and climate-neutral European economy.
