Suvorovska Community – A Model to Follow: Grant Support and Ambitious Recovery Plans from PARASOL

The RcErBs Foundation, with the support of the CEE Bankwatch Network, is expanding the geographical scope of the PARASOL project and continues to support communities in Ukraine, particularly in the Odesa region, in preparing Comprehensive Territorial Recovery Programs, implementing sustainable development projects, and strengthening institutional capacity.

As part of the PARASOL project, communities that have already developed Environmental Action Plans (MEPs) and environmental safety strategies with the support of the Foundation will receive 100% grant support for their implementation.

One such community is the Suvorovska community in the Odesa region, which received the aforementioned documents through last year's SOMBRILLA project. They are actively working on the development and implementation of comprehensive recovery programs that promote the development and prosperity of the community.

One of the community's promising projects is the concept for the creation of the “BUDJAK” Eco-Industrial Park within the community's territory. The main goal is to establish eco-friendly production based on resource-efficient circular economy principles. The planned production will include both essential household eco-products and construction materials.

The eco-park envisions the organization of integrated solutions aimed at processing berry, vegetable, and livestock products into value-added goods with export potential. The community also plans to develop industrial forms of aquaculture and mariculture, which are characterized by high capital intensity, productivity, levels of production intensification, and strong control over the production process and organizational-technological indicators.

Such ambitious plans are bound to attract the attention of investors and partners. As part of the PARASOL project, a public survey is being conducted to identify the needs and priorities of communities in the field of recovery and development in order to make support as effective as possible.

The PARASOL project has already achieved significant results, including assessing the institutional capacity of over 100 communities, developing Comprehensive Recovery Programs, and implementing a number of sustainable development projects.

It is worth noting that the project is open to those communities that are implementing clear strategic policies for recovery and sustainable development processes and are seeking real support for their initiatives.

If your community is interested in collaborating with the PARASOL project and receiving 100% grant support (provided Environmental Action Plans and environmental safety strategies are in place), please contact the RcErBs Foundation for more information and submit your application for participation.
