The public organization RcErBs Foundation and the SOMBRILLA project have the opportunity to include four more communities with populations up to 150,000 in 2024 for the full development of Local Energy Plans (LEPs) and strategies for environmental safety and climate change adaptation until 2030. The 'Recovery Window' learned this from the RcErBs Foundation.
Communities must develop such documents to implement the law 'On Energy Efficiency' by October 21, 2024, and the national Strategy for Environmental Safety and Climate Change Adaptation until 2030.
In 2023, the SOMBRILLA project prepared, and local council deputies approved during session meetings, 17 strategic documents that allow for technical support to implement projects included in these documents.
The project provides that communities selected for cooperation will finance 30% of the cost of developing strategic documents.
For the selected communities, the project also provides support in implementing Comprehensive Community Recovery Programs according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 14, 2022, No. 1159.
